Cycling holidays in the Peak District
Cycling is a fantastic way to see an area. Not only are you keeping fit in an environmentally friendly manner but you are able to cover a good distance & really get a feel for the places you visit. The Peak District offers some fabulous & diverse scenery and travelling by bike allows you to cover much more ground than walking alone. Although the difficulty/easiness of a tour depends very much on individual opinion all tours are graded to give you an idea of what to expect from a tour.
Grade A: 10 - 20 miles of almost flat cycling but a few small hills.
Grade B: 15 - 30 miles of undulating tracks & country lanes with 2-3 longer hills.
Grade C: 20 - 40 miles with a number of difficult hills.
All tours depart on any day of the week subject to accommodation availability.
Tours are designed so that you start from a Location with good rail links and travel by public transport is recommended.
All prices are based on 2 people sharing either a twin or double room. If you would like to book a single supplement please state this on the booking form & we will contact you to discuss prices & availablity. Most places we will stay are small family run B&B's & guesthouses so please book early as single rooms are often limited.

Out of Ashbourne you will pass through the ancient village of Winster with its interesting market house. Passing through pretty Elton & Youlgreave you will continue to Bakewell with a chance to sample the locally made pudding. Venturing North through Castleton & back to Buxton provides a comprehensive tour of some of the White Peaks best known attractions.

High Peak Trails 4 days / 3 nights Grade C
This challenging tour ventures into some of the High Peaks remotest corners, from the high moors around Glossop to the crags & caverns of Castleton. Taking you to‘Last of the summer wine’ country around Holmfirth this is our most northerly tour & perhaps the most spectacular in terms of views & vistas. You will pass the Peaks highest point Kinder Scout, scene of the 1932 mass trespass & skirt the edges of Ladybower reservoir where the bouncing bomb was tested for the ‘Dambusters’ During WWII.

The Heart Of The Peak 5 days / 4nights Grade B This unique tour combines some of the Peak Districts best known attractions with numerous hidden gems best dicovered by bike. From the attractive spa town of Buxton to the more rugged crags around Stanage this tour takes you from the more gentle limestone hills of the White Peak through picturesque villages such as Youlgreave, Tideswell & Eyam to the glamorous surroundings of Chatsworth. The spectacular ridges around Castleton offer a different perspective as you venture further to the alpine slopes of the High Peak.
